This is me writing this literally five seconds after finishing Wonder by R.J. Palacio.
Oh my God. I literally can’t with this book. The way Palacio wrote it. How she carefully chose which characters for the points of views, how she made everyone so believable and realistic, how she pulled the reader along with emotion, etc. etc. I could go on forever.
Auggie is the cutest, sweetest little boy to ever narrate a story. He honestly reminds me of my baby cousin (who’s Auggie’s age), Oliver. Auggie has this wit that you don’t see in many 10-year-olds and it’s his humor and way he accepts himself is so unique. I’ve encountered many people who have things about themselves that they are ashamed of, and Auggie, by far, copes with it the best. He is a role model all those people out there that are insecure about their looks, behaviors, or whatever else. He can show you a great way to live your life.
I just… The ending.. Oh my God… My tears are never ending now. SO MANY FRIGGIN GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS BOOK.
